Lovells Island Beach & Pier The dock where you arrive is lovely.	Boston Skyline from Lovells Island In addition to the Boston skyline, you can get good views of the underside of airliners as they land and take off from the nearby Logan airport. WWII Guard Tower and Swim Beach on Lovells Island The Guard Tower looks over the swimming beach on the eastern shower. This is the BHI beach with lifeguards.	Ocean Side of Lovells Island This is farther up the swimming beach, where an old granite breakwater is scattered along the shore.	Giant Tire on Lovells Island Beach This washed up tire has similar proportions to a human being.
Old Shack on Lovells Island In the foreground are mussel shells. They make an awful sound as you walk on them.	Entrance to WWII Gun Battery, Lovells Island The interior of this gun battery is like a jungle. We later learned that it was closed due to asbestos.	'Room within a Room", Lovells Island Several of the islands have these "rooms within a room" built into the hillside. They must be seen to be understood.
WWII Gun Battery, Lovells Island Some of the biggest gun fortifications are hidden away on the eastern shore.	Trees, Lovells Island There are some lovely birches on this island.	Campground and WWII Fort, Lovells Island This lovely field in the old fort section plays host to a foul outhouse.
Dock, Bumpkin Island This island looked like it was convered with Sumac.	Dock, Grape Island Grape island has a lot of wild berries on it.	Firehouse, WWI base, Peddocks Island There is an extensive military village on Peddocks Island, now overgrown in a romantic fashion.
BHI Ferry, Peddocks Island This is top deck of the ugly ferry. Seen from the dock, it is a monstrosity.
